Parks Are More Than Recreation Programs
Summary:
In addition to picnic areas and playgrounds, parks can include equestrian trails, hiking and biking trails, camping facilities, beaches, boat ramps, and historical landmarks. Examine two parks systems from Florida and California and the similar challenges they face in increasing service level demands, aging infrastructure, and budget reductions. Discover how they have modified their maintenance and operations to adapt to current situations, and developed effective and efficient performance measures and systems for tracking, comparing, and benchmarking.
By attending this session, participants will be better able to:
